Losing or breaking your TV remote can be frustrating, especially when trying to connect your TV to Wi-Fi. Without a remote, navigating through the TV settings is difficult, leaving users unable to stream content or perform other essential functions. One of the biggest challenges is connecting the TV to WiFi without a remote.

Connecting your TV to WiFi router using a remote is easy. You can do that by following the steps below:
1. Locate the home button on your remote and press it.
2. Navigate to settings. Then, go to Network and Internet or a similar setting, depending on your device.
3. Find the WiFi settings.
4. Choose the network and enter the password.
There are multiple ways to connect a TV to WiFi without a remote. Read on to learn how to connect to WiFi on specific TV brands without a remote.
The method for connecting your Roku TV to WiFi depends on whether it is currently connected to a WiFi network. If it is, the process is easy. If it’s not, you may need a new remote. Read on about each method.
If your Roku is already connected to any other Wi-Fi network, and you can connect a mobile device to the same network, you can use the Roku mobile app to control your Roku.
1. Download the Roku app on your phone if you don’t have it yet.
2. Launch the Roku app and sign in.
3. Go to Devices in the bottom left, find your device, and tap Connect Now. If you can’t find your Roku, remember your mobile device and your Roku need to be connected to the same network.
4. Tap Remote under your Roku.

6. Go to Settings > Network > Set up a new connection > Wireless on your Roku TV.
7. Select your WiFi.
8. Enter the password and click Connect.
If your Roku isn’t connected to a network, and you don’t have a remote, you’ll have to get it online by plugging it directly into your router via Ethernet. Then, you can use the Roku mobile app for navigation.
If you don’t have an established network connection, a remote, or Ethernet capabilities, get a new remote to control your Roku.
The easiest way to connect a Samsung TV to WiFi without a remote is by using the SmartThings app. It’s available on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. All you need to do is to follow the steps below:
1. Go to your app store and search for SmartThings. Download and install the app.
2. Register on the app by adding your details, such as your name, email, and number. After confirming your email address, log in to your account.
3. On the dashboard, click on Remote.
4. When it finishes loading, tap on the menu. Navigate to the Settings menu and choose WiFi and Connectivity.
5. Locate your WiFi, add the name and password, and connect.
Operating Hisense TV without a remote is easy. The easiest way is to use the Hisense Android app by following the steps below:
1. Go to the Google Play Store and download the Android TV app.
2. On the Android TV app, locate the Hisense Smart TV application.
3. Ensure the TV and the phone are on the same WiFi network.
4. Connect your mobile phone to your TV using the code on your TV screen.
5. Open the Android TV app and use your phone as a remote to operate your Hisense TV.
LG Smart TVs come in different versions, the main difference being the operating system version. However, although the interface is quite different, they follow the same procedure.

5. On the next screen, you will find a Network Settings option. Click on it.
6. This will take you to Connection.
7. Click on WiFi Connection.
8. Now, select your Wi-Fi network from the available options to go to the TV’s WiFi settings.
9. When you click on it, it will ask for your password and give you a keypad. Type your password using the mouse and click Enter or Connect.
10. The Wireless connection option should now change to Connected if your password is correct.
Now that your TV is connected to Wi-Fi, you can download the LG ThinQ app on your smartphone and use it as a remote to control the TV.
TCL TVs operate on both Roku TV and Google TV, but this guide focuses on Google TV. One advantage of this operating system is that the Settings button is usually accessible from the main screen, making it easier to set up WiFi without a remote. To navigate the interface, you will need a wired or wireless mouse.
1. On the main page, click the Cog icon at the top right of the screen to open settings.
2. This will give you an overlay menu that has various options. You can click on the settings button again to access the entire configuration menu, but the easiest way to connect is to click on the WiFi option provided.
3. This will take you to the Network and the Internet. Toggle the WiFi button to activate it.
4. You’ll now see the available networks. Click on your network.

6. The TV will let you know if your password is incorrect or when you’ve connected successfully.
7. The network will then indicate that it’s connected, and its icon will turn blue.
You can now connect your smartphone and use it as a remote before you get a replacement.
The easiest way to connect an Apple TV to WiFi is by using an iPhone or an iPad. An iPhone must be iOS 12 or later, and an iPad must be iPadOS 13 or later. Follow the steps below:
1. Open the control center and locate the Apple TV remote control. If you struggle to find it, navigate to Settings, then Control Center. Under the menu, tap on the + to add the remote control under the control center.
2. Swipe up to open the control center and click the Remote icon to launch the Apple TV remote application.
3. Now, you can use the app’s navigation to connect to WiFi. On your TV, click Settings, navigate to Network, and select WiFi. Input the network name and password to connect.
The common method for a Sony TV is using a USB mouse and USB keyboard. To connect your Sony TV to a wireless network without a remote, follow the steps below:
1. Locate the USB port on your Sony TV and insert the mouse and keyboard. The cursor will appear on the screen.
2. Use the mouse to select Settings and navigate to Network Settings. Click on Network Setup and select the wireless setup option.
3. Enter the WiFi’s name, then the password, and it will connect successfully.
The standard method is using the VIZIO Smartcast app. To implement the connection, follow the steps below:
1. Download the Smartcast app and launch it.
2. Locate the control button at the bottom and tap on it.
3. In the right corner, select VIZIO TV.
After a successful connection, you can use the app as a remote to connect to the WiFi.
Alternatively, you can use a USB keyboard for navigation.
