Here’s how it works: Data brokers collect data on you from public records, apps, and other online sources. This data may include your name, age, address, interests, and other details that help create an intrusive profile of you.
Their goal is to sell these profiles to third parties like marketers. Fortunately, based on European GDPR and Californian CCPA, brokers must delete your data on request.
With the One+ plan, Surfshark contacts brokers on your behalf to request data removal. While you could do it yourself, this would take ages, as brokers use legal loopholes to make the process as complicated as possible.

Many VPN companies offer static IP addresses at an additional cost, and Surfshark is no exception. You can get a dedicated IP address as an add-on to any of the Surfshark plans.
By default, VPNs assign you a shared IP address that changes randomly every time you connect. This may cause services and websites to block you due to other users’ malicious activity on those IPs.
A dedicated IP reduces CAPTCHAs because your connection is less likely to be flagged for suspicion. It also helps avoid getting placed on blocklists and makes transactions more secure.
